T.A.C.O. Tuesday | Ugly Colors
This week we'll challenge our creative taste buds, choose a color scheme we don't tend to gravitate to, and use it to create a piece. An art journal page or canvas or the back of a cereal box...who cares?! Lets just dip our fingers in some paint!
I find I have a tendency to create in bright pinks and purples and blues, so for this project I'm going to try to play with the color green. I also have some blended fibers medium just lying around. I've tried to use it several times and never much cared for the results, so I thought I'd stretch my creativity a bit and incorporate it in this piece. An added challenge. To my surprise, I'm quite pleased with the hearts.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with a couple of tubes of paint lying around in colors that make me wince... those tubes of paint that just never seem to get used. Let's touch those paints, those colored pencils, those markers, those pastels...whatever your medium(s) of choice, create something beautiful in a color or colors that don't normally call to you.
As always, have fun and don't forget to share your work with us on Facebook!
