Parenting Books for a Brighter Future
More than a decade of guiding little people, and a library's worth of parenting books later... here is a short list of the books I've found that have changed the way I look at and approach this important task, for the better. These books, and the discussions I've had with people over the years about these books, have helped me work towards parenting my children in such a manner that paves the way for humanity to have a brighter future.
If you have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends with children... if you're a human being that is ever going to interact with children at any point in your lifetime, you might want to consider reading this book. Magical Child is the one book that I recommend to all of my friends and family. If you only ever read one book on parenting and child development, let it be this one. I don't believe there is another publication that has the potential to so positively influence the course of the human race.
This book is my second recommendation. Written to share the insights gained from living for two and half years in the South American jungle with indigenous tribes. Guaranteed to shift your perceptions on what it means to be a parent... and a child.
A wonderful pair to Naomi's book; a lesson on connection, compassion and empathy.
Parenting is the most important job you're ever going to have, and how you go about it effects more than just yourself and your child(ren), it ripples out to effect the world around you... and the future of humanity. These are just a few of the books that I've found that I believe stand out as true blessings to us on our path to becoming better parents (and people) for the little people that depend on us.
